Forgive me for taking this with a huge pinch of salt, but Leeds didn't exactly go from zero to the treble straight away and were the bridesmaids, always missing out, for years until they started winning. We have the chance to replicate that (and yes, it may not happen). Were you disappointed to lose both cup and grand final in 2005? Of course you were, and we're disappointed not to have done better this year but accepting that defeat isn't anything to do with accepting mediocrity. Your team came back from 2005 and look at what happened. We have to start somewhere, and hopefully we'll soon be on as high a horse as you.

There are a lot of fans moaning about low standard of this year's league too, mostly fans of teams that didn't have shout of winning anything. Wonder why...

A great season and more than i expected, great to get the monkey off our back and to finish 3rd is a mass improvement of years gone by, now we have a taste of success lets kick on next season , Well done Radders and all the players heres to 2017

Not knocking what you have achieved this season i just think you have missed the boat , i have no doubt you would have taken this at the start of the season but the chance was there to achieve so much more and that will not come around too often .

I think fans are understating the strength of the competition this season.

Sure during the season the standard did seem to have dropped somewhat but during the last few weeks of the Super 8`s there have been some very good performances and both semi finals were of a pretty high quality (ignoring our first half last night).

We know we are still a couple of players in key positions short of being a really good side so to achieve what we did was very pleasing.

To come from 8 th last year to 3 Rd and semi in grand final and won the challenge cup is a massive improvement for us as a team. Yes we have dropped of since wembley and tbh looked to be running on empty the last few matches But boy what a great season and that challenge cup.win well what can you say. Thank you hull fc

It's been a great season, certainly our best since the early 80s. Of course it could have been even better but that shouldn't detract from the achievements both for the team and individuals.

All our targets from the start of the season have been met. Top four and silverware. It ups the bar for next year when our minimum aim should be the Grand Final.

Enjoyed this season more than any other since 2006/2007, far better than anyone could have imagined. I had us down to finish about 6th and be out of the Top4 running with a few weeks to go, not winning at Wembley and be one game from winning the league leaders shield.

Still work to be done though, i think we need to find a 'PlanB' for when Sneyd isnt firing, and I think recruiting an attacking/skills coach would be a big step in the right direction. But its small tweaks rather than the disruptive full squad overhauls weve had for the last decade.

Brilliant season. If someone told you in Feb that you would win the Challenge Cup at Wembley, be in a Semi Final for the Grand Final, and finish in third I would of took that in a heartbeat. Roll on 2017

Surely the chance comes round every year for every team. Quite simple really.

He does have a point however.

Yes we have had a good season and initially exceeded expectations and I for 1 am over joyed with the CC win.
But with the potential in this team we could have won all 3 had we performed consistently or at least been in 2 finals.
So it is bittersweet for me, yes happy at what we have achieved yet disappointed in our drop in form since the cup final and genuinely thought we'd win 2 out of the 3 this year that's how strong we had been.
But onwards and upwards on our learning curve and strong foundations to build on for next year.
