Brown takes the game to the opposition. He runs on both sides of the pitch, not just one side, and takes the ball to the line. Time after time. Not all of his passes are effective but most are. He steps before the line then passes back over his step or takes the other option. He kicks the ball high and makes it hard to catch. It's not world class but boy does it show just how poor our creative players are.
Spot on! I thought the same seeing Brown. He's not a world beater, but just a very effective half back who picked us off throughout the game. His game management was solid and he executed most of his plays very well.
Seems ages since we had a Game Manager. We need one urgently, ideally with someone in charge who can inspire and motivate them.

Brown is as close as you can get to Cooke, we should be employing Cooke to work with our halfs, in fact for now just work with Sneyd and long term the young halfs.

If you say so, I disagree, Brown runs the show, organises, kicks and has a great pass, pretty much what Cooke did for Hull. Brown has a better running game though.

Agree that Cooke gave us a similar level of control and options.
Unfortunately, despite what he gave us as a player I wouldn't want him anywhere near the KC until he's paid back all his pay from the contract that he never signed or gave us the transfer fee we should have had, had he signed the contract that he was happy to be receiving money from. He could then apologise. Once he's done all that, only then would I want him considered for a coaching role.
Cooke should be remembered as a Hull legend. For me, he threw all that away the day he marketed himself on the grounds he had 't signed the contract and only he could have known that.

From what have seen your pack is your strength yet the team seem to play with the mentality of smashing a team through the middle, all the time.there is no plan b. I'd stand Pritchard and your other second row one out and look and spreading your packs power wider. It would ease the presuure on the centre's and create more busts. You have the best pack in SL yet tackling techniques out wide are poor. They don't face up and always let the attacker past and seen to be pulling him back. Hit him head on and move your feet. Very happy life thanks.
Just not ready to forgive someone who has never shown remorse for what he did to our club.
The other week we were discussing how bad it was fans trying to lie about their age to save a few pounds on admission. Yet Cooke's deliberate actions indirectly cost the club £10,000's of pounds, but every now and again we hear the call to welcome him back as if nothing had happened.
If I got burguled and had lots stolen, I wouldn't then invite the culprit round for coffee.
So call me sad if you want, but I would rather not have Cooke involved with the club again.
