And of course the GF got to me. We were level on points after the regular season and lost the final by two points. Leeds won and good luck to you. But don't kid yourselves you were that much better than us. The difference between us was Kevin Sinfield. In fact he defined your season with the 40/20 against Saints. There I go being nice about Leeds players again.
You're lying to yourself if you think Wigan have been even remotely as good as Leeds this season. That we could lose three in a row after a record Challenge Cup final win and still finish top tells you how much better than the rest of the league we were this season. The main difference between Leeds and Wigan this season was that we had better backs, a better pack, better halves and we played better rugby.
And as fur Hardaker being nothing special, you might want to bring that up with all the players, coaches and journalists who made him Man of Steel.

Yes and we took a while to get over the extra time loss to Brisbane Broncos in the seasons toughest match whilst you had your feet up. Two can play at that game. Fact is, we finished level on points so if you think you were so much better than the rest you are deluded.
I guess you are a big fan of Rangi Chase then as when he got MoS the players, coaches and journalists couldn't possibly have got that one wrong either?

No worst than who won it the next year.

I don't think i've seen a post by you in the last month where you haven't been slagging off Leeds or having sly digs at Leeds players.
Expected the Wigan board to go into meltdown over this news. To say Leeds and Hardaker are so undeserving and rubbish, Wigan spend an awful lot of your time posting comments about them. Yep, the green-eyed monster raises it's head once again.
And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off. To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

Meltdown?... Must be dull over in Yorkshire if this is a meltdown...

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

Well, quite. And please point me towards posts saying Leeds and Hardaker are rubbish.
Seems to me most Wigan fans here are saying three things:
1. Hardaker has been pretty ordinary so far for England 2. There was nothing in it between Leeds and Wigan last season 3. Hardaker isn't as good as a fully fit Sam Tomkins.
None of these comments seem to me unreasonable, or even contentious.

Seems to me most Wigan fans here are saying three things:
1. Hardaker has been pretty ordinary so far for England, as has everyone else led by a clueless coach 2. There was nothing in it between Leeds and Wigan last season, apart from three trophies 3. Hardaker isn't as good as a fully fit Sam Tomkins. he's a better full back than a fully fit tomkins, as good an overall player, no
