You're probably right - He's a left wing pressure group. As a mainstream party leader, he would be a total disaster.

Blair has many faults, but his words today were pretty much spot on with regard to the dangers of Labour lurching further left - If Corbyn does get in, then I'd expect a SDP-style breakaway party to be up and running come Christmas time.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Blair would do well to keep his own counsel until after the publication of Chilcott. What a pity those fawning over him today didn't ask the question why he needed to receive so much money from recognised dictators.

Labour should be working hard to attract the non-voting and disaffected factions of the electorate. Those groups see little difference between the tories and Blairites and they're correct, there is little difference between them.

It's high time the unions withdrew all funding from Labour and looked to starting another party. If that keeps the tories in power for a generation, so what?

Would you seriously want any of these candidates running the country?

Best thing that could happen is Corbyn getting in - further left they go the less chance they have of getting elected

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Tories believe they have a strong mandate with a 25% vote. Even Corbyn could get that! I think it would be a breath of fresh air to have a leading politician who isn't a PR-based non-entity but says what he / she thinks.

My thoughts entirely... I'm tired of the same, bland, pre-programmed politicians dancing around questions, terrified of saying what they really think.

Whether you're on the road to paradise, or the highway to hell, never take the middle of the road.
