They were pretty limited but looked to have more of a game plan than us. Every try bar 1 was through individual effort, so god knows what that says about our "play book" against second-rate opposition.
Good day out, but the team were poop.
Interesting. The score shows we beat them easily but you say we were poor

The fixtures have been set up to massively favour the 9th and 10th placed SL teams and the 1st and 2nd in the championship (god knows who agreed to that but ridiculous IMO).
If both leagues stayed as they are until the end of the season (which it won't but just wanting to show how the fixtures work) we'd play:
Home
wakefield les cats sheffield
Away
leigh bradford widnes halifax
We could easily lose 2 or 3 of those games the way we've been playing which would put us in real peril of relegation.
I'm pretty much resigned to us being in the middle 8's but we must finish 9th or 10th IMO
We said EXACTLY the same re the fixtures been, um, engineered as an experimental taster and also that those middle 8 matches are going to be extremely close.
Worried for weeks about the possibility of relegation, today has confirmed this scenario should be taken seriously and we should take evasive action now. We need eighth at least.

Win our next two and we are in a decent position. I reckon we would then have to win 5 of 11 to be safe (ideally 6, but I think 22 points should get you in). You would like to think we will win the two games against Wakefield. That leaves us needing 3 from 9. Should be doable.

It's no surprise though is it? We're a disorganised rabble in attack thanks to our clueless coach. Leigh looked so much better than we do with ball in hand with a squad which is probably paid a 1/4 of what ours is

Huddersfield game is huge.
Our attack is hopeless though. Unless we see a massive improvement we have no chance of the top 8. Other than leeds and maybe saints, no one is showing any form so your 22 point target may actually be higher

I agree our attack is hopeless. But at this stage it's too much to say there's no chance.
If we had played Wakefield today as planned and got the result we would have been 8th at worst (possibly 7th had Rovers lost to Salford). That is with everyone playing each other once.
Yes we've played badly, but there are plenty of average teams in this league. If we can grind out some results when we need them there's no reason we can't scrape in.

They also made a lot of ground with ball in hand the same as Widnes did last week and that's a worry. Our attack though is embarrassing. No doubt we will have that flyer Yeaman back in the centre next week.
