They have pace to burn and we have one of the slowest back lines in the league.

Their half backs are on fire and we have key players missing.

They have beaten Wigan and Saints and we have contrived to lose games we should have won.

They usually raise their game for the derby but our players seem to treat it as just another match.

Rovers by 12 :DEPRESSED:

This pace thing is one thing I don't understand.

If the line ups are as I expect it will be:

Dixon v Shaul (probably Dixon, but not by much, plus he's a liability)
Sio v Lineham (I really like the look of Sio, but he wouldn't outstrip Lineham)
Goulding v Michaels (Michaels is miles quicker)
Welham v Yeaman (The two slowest men in their respective back lines, Welham by a head)
Mantellato v Talanoa (Not seen Mantellato in full flight tbh, but he looks a bit of a plodder)
Kelly v Rankin (very similar)
Campese v Pryce (Pryce)

In terms of pace there's not much difference at all.

They may play Dixon at FB and he's at least as fast as Shaul. TBH I hope they do play him because Cockayne is better defensively and always plays well against us.

I guess Jack Logan would be disappointed to be thought to be only as fast as Welham, although he usually plays well against us too.

Pace is subjective, but whatever criteria you wish to use regards the players you have listed above, HKR have scored more tries, have more tackle busts and in metres gained HKR blow HFC out the water. IMO, HKR backs are a pace (class) above but if you are talking forwards then that's a different matter.

Pace isn't a big problem, lack of skill and the ability to break the line is our main problem. This is why we haven't scored many (If any) trys from our own half.

Backing up and offloading is the worst in the league also.

All whole attack needs working on.

It's your halfs, tactics and structures that are better than ours, their isn't much between our wingers or centres IMO.

I think this is where we have been missing Shaul for his support play, he mostly seems to be in the right place for an off load, I know offloads are a bit lacking in our game but would you try offloading if you knew there was nobody there to capitalise on it.

I would agree with that, and our advantage in the halves countered by your firepower in the pack. Likely to come down to which coach comes up withthe best game plan, assuming the players follow it.

I'm a natural pessimist so I'll say Hull by 10.

This is a problem though isn't it. We shouldn't be relying on one player coming back to offer some support, looking to receive an offload. The whole team should be looking for the chance to allow an offload. Other teams offload for fun as every player seems to want the ball.

Is our offload issue down to the players not wanting the ball or are we perhaps too structured and drilled that we're perhaps stifling any creativity our players have. No one is willing to try something and take a chance when the score is tight?
