Standee is right in that your club will never improve by appointing inexpensive Australian journeymen or illiterate ex-players with little experience as coach.

If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

I am not saying Gentle was "the one", but we have gone backwards, hopefully Lee will prove me wrong. What I find quite disgusting is some people baying for me to be banned (not yourself) simply for having an opinion. Quite sad really.

That's fair enough, it's impossible to say that we haven't gone backwards. I guess I'm just a little more patient & am willing to give them time to see if we had to go backwards before we can progress.

Before anybody starts that isn't a dig, I've not been following the club as long as a lot on here so haven't experienced the same levels of disappointment over the years.

I wish I could forget, PG also took us to the second round of the playoffs & we all know how that ended don't we. Would you rather we finished 6th & experienced defeats like that again?

Gentle would have continued paying over the odds for players like McDonnell, Miller and Con Mika (we dodged a bullet there when Gentle got the push) for the duration of his tenure.
The deals handed out to Lancaster, Adbul, Logan, etc are the way to go.
I'm genuinely more excited about signing these young players then any big name players.
I'm not sure if Radford will still be around when it bears fruit, but the change in recruitment/retention , and faith in the young players , will hopefully make us stronger in the years to come.

The next coach will be the one to reap, like Wane is at Wigan.

Spot on.
The groundwork being done now could take some time to bear fruit and I'm not sure Radford will be here to see it through.
Think him Motu and AP are finally getting to grips with the recruitment and the promotion of youth though.

It's laughable.

The quality of the coaching at the club is a legitimate part of any conversation regarding our ability to break into the 'cartel' of clubs at the top table. Should the discussion become purely another round of squabbling then that's a different matter. At the moment that isn't the case. And it would never be the case if people would stop responding to some of the drivel posted by certain members of this board.

There's a Foe/Ignore button for a reason.

So it's fine to go round derailing every thread with the same drivel and abusing whom ever you want along the way as there's a 'foe/ignore' button?

I hope the other mods see it differently.

Coaching at one club never lasts forever, so would rather have radders leave at the 2nd exit on the roundabout, aslong as he is sending the club en route down the right road. :MOTOR: #COYH.
