Think it's pretty insulting to ask anyone to take a pay drop because the coach has his personal favourites and certain players never stood a chance. some of the regulars have been god awful and gutless this season..why not insist they take a pay cut until they prove their worth? How about insisting our empirical coach take a pay cut next year as he's been pretty shocking in his performance..

Not sure of the rules, but now that Horney has retired, does the salary cap exemption or whatever shift to Whiting? He's been with us 10 years+. Can someone who understands this explain??
No reason not to keep him in the pecking order if so.

With all the other exemptions and loopholes I'd guess it isn't a big deal one way or the other. Mind you it's so, so convoluted, it's hard to judge.

Yeaman also been here 10+ so he would qualify if Whiting didn't.

It's £50k in total per club, I believe.
So if we have any player on a minimum of 10 years’ service in our squad, we can spend as a club an additional £50k above the cap. It's not necessarily pinned to one player in particular.
