Saw Dirt Box Disco at the Star and Garter in Manchester on sunday at their new album release party, what a top gig,in total five bands for a fiver great stuff. And the new album is rather good too. Horray

Went to see Sweet Baboo at Hull Fruit last night. He was very good with his band and funny between songs. Only downside was such a low turnout. I thought after getting some air play on 6music and a live in session on there people would know who he was.
On a side note Fruit really is not a great venue for a gig and smelt of mickey and expensive drinks. £5.50 for a bottle of beer and a can of Tango!

Just blagged two lots of guest list tickets to see Dirty Revolution, a pair for Grimsby and a pair for Doncaster. I'd say 'result'.

Went to Live At Leeds yesterday

Brilliant city centre festival and cheap as chips at £23 a ticket for 12 hours of bands spread over 14(?) venues

Excellent value, did you have much trouble with queuing? My daughter found it a bit of a bind. Saw the Vaccines at Millenium sq yesterday , best gig i've been to in quite a while, pleasantly surprised.

Couple of friends did in terms of wristbands but we got ours at 11am and had no trouble! Otherwise not too many problems as we got to the venues in plenty of time for the bands

I got offered tickets for The Vaccines but couldn't make my mind up over them as find a few songs good but also a few dull as dishwater

Kasabian at Brid Spa sorted. Great little venue, should be bouncing.
