Some of the crowd tonight were a disgrace. I'm sure they think they are being witty but there's some right tools in there. Anyway, how good was Appleton in whitewashing Van Boening? Yu-rup!

Great night of pool spoiled by some proper helmets in the crowd. Not needed.
Appleton was absolutely fantastic. With winner breaks formats, 5-0 wouldn't be so surprising, but in alternate break against the quite brilliant van Boening was exceptional. Kudos also to Chris Melling, who struck the ball with impressive authority, and the always classy Johnny Archer. That was a real battling win for him last night

Appleton is showing why he is the best in the business at the moment. Fantastic whitewash last night. Europe got away with a couple of poor shots by America and managed to close the games out. Singles tonight should be tremendous, I reckon Ruijsink will put the big guns out first to go for the quick win. Been impressed with Nick Ekonomopoulos, he's come in and done a fine job so far.
Not liking the Monday to Thursday slot though, much prefer it Thursday-Sunday.
