It was certainly very impressive, the 60 was great from the training planes and the E II R was just immense, I am sure this will descend into a "why do we have the Queen" thread and the usual stagers will post their thoughts.

Yeah probably. Let them have their rants. They are a total insignificance. A small minority who like to oppose everything just for the sake of it. The jubilee is going to be massive! Then the Olympics. A great feel good factor sweeping the nation!

I just hope we haven't gone all Yoga and Lentils on the Olympics, do what we're good at, Pomp and Circumstance, the flotilla (from the plans I have seen) will be awesome.

Agreed was very impressive and made me proud that all those Hawks which made up the E II R were built at BAE Systems Brough, just a shame no more will be manufactured there.

Its going to take more than a parade and some people running and jumping for me and my family to have a feel good factor.
The extra money that is being spent on the opening ceremony alone of the Olympics would fill the savings that they are making on the vunerable.

Superb.
Been to many flying displays on UK soil, but this was very special. The look on Her Majesty's face summed it up and overall it was just a very punchy and honourable tribute.
