has it now changed significantly due to EGM?. I was under impression the other 500k had to be raised by end of may. So why have they announced a fund raising event in June?

I thought the 500k had to be raised by the middle of May to satisfy ongoing debts, i:e staff wages, etc....but who knows???

Yep I thought wages were due on the 14th of each month.

Does anyone believe anything that the current BoD now have to say? To be honest I am thoroughly disgusted by the whole thing and this "waiting in limbo" debacle until the EGM is not helping. Hood and Bennett should step down in my opinion UNLESS they can actually get some funding in.

I very much doubt this funding will appear soon while any investors know Hood & Bennett are on the way out.

Step aside boys, you're going anyway.

It’s no good asking Mr Hood what is going on, he has closed the door and is content to listen to Duran Duran tapes on his old 8 track

It's quite weird (if that's the right word) just now. As has been said, the 'pledge' money was supposed to be a short term fix until the rest was raised (presumably by outside investment) but we've just not heard anymore. Fair enough, with the EGM coming up, it's small wonder that little has moved on the investment front but the club still seems to be making arrangements as though it's just business as usual; Ive just bought tickets (game and coach) for the Salford match, tickets are still being sold for the MM weekend and events are being organised for through the summer period, not to mention re-signings for next season, though I guess the latter could have finalised and signed before they were overtaken by events.

We keep hearing about the EGM, but everyone seems to be ignoring the elephant in the room ie: the club is supposedly stuffed by around that time if nothing is sorted before. Assuming the EGM brings it's expected outcome who is going finance everything through this "root and branch" examination period anyway? Yeah, weird; very weird.

I've heard thet rugby league's "King of Spin" Richard Wright from Cas has been advising your BOD over the past few weeks. He's well known around these parts for spinning a yarn for the past 6 years or so about our new stadium, he'll get your directors to tell you a great story just like the good old Jackanory days.

Perhaps the money from the televised cup game was enough to keep the wolves from the door for the short term, and now Hood is simply saying nothing because he knows he'll be off soonish?

Whatever the reasons, and regardless of who is going to be in situ post-EGM, the total and complete failure to provide any formal updates to the supporters, after the incredible efforts to pledge and raise so much in such a short period, is a total disgrace.

No-one (reasonable) was asking for loads of detail, but just regular updates given the seriousness of the club's plight. ANYTHING. Not this in-the-bunker silence.

All Hood is doing, as each day goes on, is reinforcing the message those who seek/intend to oust him are putting across.

There was incredible momentum building just before the Leeds game. I've never seen such "we are all in it together" attitude here. Yet that has all been allowed to totally dissipate. You really could not make it up.

Its got beyond a sodding joke now, and in my opinion has become totally unacceptable.
