I have just read Sandercock's comment on Blake Green's chances re the Catalan match (in the HDM), which I thought was set in stone based on his comment to RH earlier in the week, but apparently not.
Slammer's called it a case of poor kidology, but for the first time since Sandercock's appointment I heard alarm bells ringing - is he for real?

Sounds to me like it's not Sandercocks fault. He thought he'd play last weeks and the specialist gave him another week on the medication. Hopefully the specialist has now given him the all clear seen as his HDM interview was probably yesterday for airing today meaning his appointment has being done and dusted..

What's the problem? At no point in the recovery time was it ever mentioned that he'd be back for the derby. That was never going to happen. It was always going to be a case of possibly the CC or next week vs London. Of course everyone wants him back as soon as possible but we have to patient. As he finished his tablets only last week, it's natural for the specialist to want to at least monitor him for another week or two thereafter. Signing him off to play RL will be totally different from a normal case. The risks associated are too great. So I'm sure the specialist will need to be 100% certain that there's no chance of this reoccurring, now that Blake has finished his medication.

slammer says a lot of things but i dont think you can blame sandercock on this one its down to the specialist on this one to sign him off so sandercocks hands are tied really and why was the other thread locked about the player faking injury everybody knows its clinton weres the big secret

A decision to allow Blake to come off the wharfarin and then a decision to allow him to resume playing are two completely different decisions. I fully believe he'll play on Sunday however.
