Long way off though innit?

The odd 'there' instead of 'their' or 'could of been' might slip through, but completely the wrong wool? :o

Worrying.

Even for you, that is a terrible (but strangely funnier for that) gag.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Here you go, although this looks to be the mobile version.

That will tell you how to start off and how to escalate the procedure, stick to your guns and don't back down (you're good at that!) if you find you're not getting anywhereWTF get your local councillor involved, I'd be surprised if that didn't have an affect.
Much appriciated thanks.

Thanks.

No that is straight up.
If you partner works then 6 months is all you are entitled to going on you contributions paid.
As as example I was in work for 20 years none stop apart from a previous 3 month period when I was unemployed and all I was entitled to was 6 months JSA.
To say I was astounded by that fact is an understatement.

We are in a similar situation. I work, so Mr Worm, as a joiner, gets nothing when he's out of work, building stuff (with the exception of jobs for out of town contractors) being thin on the ground over the last couple of years. Despite the fact that we have both worked all our lives paying the relevant duties he cannot claim anything. Would he qualify for JSA or is it means tested like Income Support?

What is really galling is that he cannot get aid for re-training so he can qualify as a lecturer to pass on his skills or, indeed, any other training course which would help him get an alternative job, because he isn't in receipt of benefits. It's really difficult to run a household on one income - there's no way we could afford to pay for re-training privately. Something wrong with the way benefits are distributed in this country, for sure.

Nah, been down at the in laws, can't make it next week either as I've had tickets for something else since last year.

Good luck with the knee, hope it's sorted.

Just an update about my problems with my JSA.
I recived a telephone call today by what must have been a very junior office worker (She sounded awfully young) with a very quiet and meek phone voice who told me that 'she' had posted my letter this moring.
It seems that kicking major butt DOES get stuff done after all.

I would have liked to have ripped into whoever telephoned me but TBH if I had ripped into her I would have felt like I had attacked a puppy with a house brick, Clearly that was why the JSA office gave her the job of telephoning me.
I did chuckle to myself when I put the phone down thinking about the look on her face when she got told 'Telephone this guy will you he is irate and he may not tear into you'
