sometimes I think it may have been better if Yorkshire cricket had moved away from Headingley and moved to Durkar/Wakefield a few years ago,not that it was viable for wakefieldfield city council or YCC ,and as much as I like cricket. If it did come to fruition, the organisation could have sold the cricket side and had enough money to rebuild the rugby side immediately, but that was never going to happen Leeds city council bent over backwards to keep test cricket within the city, they loaned YCC the money they needed to buy the ground from Leeds C,F&A CO LTD,They even gave them an easy time in planning apps in developing the cricket side, which is a different story when Leeds rl apply for planning permission.YCC also get grants because the cricket ground is regarded as part national stadium

It is time we reduce the number of teams in Super League so that we can have a more competitive competition and each team can have a larger share of the Sky money so that we can compete with the threat of rugby union signing our best players like Joel Tomkins.
Instead we usually have to listen to the 'expansionists' and their futile dream of having a million clubs in Super League and a playoff system where you can finish 635275th in the league and still win the title by having one or two lucky wins at the right time of the season.
I think your correct. I'm also of the opinion that come play off time a club which was a newer ground should automatically get a bye should they be paired against a club with an older ground.

Cas and Wakey with decent facilities could be of great value to the league but without it we wouldn't miss them.
It's a disgrace when you think about it, these so called "super" clubs don't even have an Ultra group within their support base.
Had no idea I was still so famous on here thanks boys.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
