Quote A unknown superstar="A unknown superstar"Been out a while, but tempted to buy FM 2012. Anyone on here got this and is it worth purchasing? Just on Fifa at the minute, and really enjoy the transfer side etc to the game and got me thinking about the more in depth FM 2012.'"
I recently got back into Football Manager and I am absolutely hooked. I love what they've done with it. You can play it in the most finite detail, if that is how you want to play. You can set individual training, speak to each player, go into so much depth in the tactics adjusting sliders and tinkering away.
Or you can do what I do and ignore the detail, assemble a squad a just pick broad tactics to suit. For example as Everton I play a default 4-5-1, deep defensive line, aggressive tackling with loads of closing down. I play 'control' and push up against rubbish teams at home and counter and very deep against good teams and when away. Total anti-football but they are thriving on it. I am third in April in the first season and have only signed the likes of McFadden and Bolo Zenden on free transfers plus a right back for £1m and a couple of loanees.
