Ceal Sonnen is a bit of a racist with some of the stuff he says about fighters from other countries but I do find the other stuff he has to say very funny.
Anderson Silva has proven time and time again why hes the best pound for pound fighter in the world, beating everyone in front of him in the ufc and Sonnen can b!tch all he wants..he made a mistake and was beaten fair and square...i hope he shuts sonnen up for good and moves on from this clown.
As someone has said though expect sonnen to go for the same game plan as the first fight and take him to the ground at every opportunity for the full fight playing on probably andersons biggest weakness...like iv said i think sonnen could take that fight unless we see something special from silva (which isnt unusual by the way)

Really? i very much doubt anderson silva will walk away because sonnen says so...its all fake, transparent nonsence but your probably right the americans will buy into it without a doubt.

Dana White already stated that it would be near impossible to stage such a fight with the implications that Sonnen wanted, with their previous contracts etc...
I think Chael should have called out maybe Vitor or even challenged the winner of Bisping Vs Mayhem Miller as the winner would automatically be given a shot at Anderson anyway, but I suppose hes had to live with the fact that he should have beaten Silva last year and thats been eating away inside of him for so long now.
The only people who stylistically can beat Anderson in his division or lower are Sonnen and GSP because of their dominant wrestling. Dont get me wrong, Silva is dangerous anywhere in the cage including off his back but fighting the fight they want and winning by a boring lay and pray is the only way your going to be able to beat such a dominant fighter.
One side of me wants Sonnen to win, I like him and Id like to see Silva knocked off his perch finally. But the other side of me says, we have to see the superfight that is GSP vs Silva and even possibly then if Silva wins, is to fight maybe Jon Jones in another monster fight. Those 2 fights alone would send the PPV figures through the roof and would elevate MMA over boxing as the only fight boxing could respond back with would be Pac Man vs Mayweather.

Pretty much agree with all of that except th Sonnen winning bit.
Dont think we'll see GSP v Silva...GSP never seems convincing to me when talking about moving up to middleweight.
Good lad Forrest, seeing the funny side. Would have given Silva a bit of a better run earlier in his career, unfortunately his defend with your face style caught up with him in the end. I think Sonnen can beat Silva, the guy is the best wrestler I've seen in the UFC and literally gives you no time to put anything together before he takes you down. With the experience of the last Silva fight I would actually bet on Sonnen. It would be boring but they're in there to win fights first and foremost, not entertain.
Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

To be honest i dont think Sonnen is one of these boring lay and pray wrestlers....hes always busy on the ground and looking for a finish...i agree he has a great chance of beating silva,i just dont like the way the guy comes across most of the time....he does have his moments though when you just have to laugh.

My tickets arrived the other day. Going to see Arctic Monkeys the night before in the same arena and making a weekend of it.
People are quick to bash the card, but Taylor v Njkouani, Pickett v Barao, Omigawa v Young and Leben v Munoz should be great fights. Remember, it's not always the cards with big names that produce the best fights!
