Grr. I'll just sit tight and wait for the next updates then.

Cheers.

Plus, you don't happen to know how to get my MacBook to start displaying what stickykeys are currently pressed down again do you? It stopped since I got Lion.

System Prefences says they are showing, but they aren't.

How long are wireless routers supposed to last, or is that a daft question?

Bought one last year to replace another that died after about 4 years, and this one (Netgear) is now getting very temperamental and drops the signal all the time. It's difficult to reconnect (phone and PC takes ages and is not always successful).

I've tried the IT helpdesk solution of rebooting it but it only works for a few hours then gives up again

Should I just bin it and get a new one?

To reconcile respect with practicality, what is the optimum speed for a hearse?

How old is the Netgear one you have, if it's less than a year then try and get it swapped, I'be no real idea how long suh things should last but I would say at least two years, it's not as if it has moving parts etc.

Not 100% sure how old, but can't be much more than a year

don't blame you for being hacked off, should last at least two years, if not more.

I would expect to get more out of it, we have some standard wireless routers still working that are more than five years old.

You could try upgrading the firmware?

Not sure if anyone can help me here, but my Acer laptops playing up (yet again). I can right click, and my mouse works. Icons recognise that I'm hoverring my mouse over them, but I cannot left click on anything. I can right click as normal, but both the tap to left click and pressing the button aren't recognised not at all. Not sure why this is, but any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

EDIT: I've just tried using mousekeys, and this works too. Its just my trackpad click and left mouse button.

id try a couple of things like changing the splitter and the cables too mate, sometimes that resolves this sort of issue
