Two games on the trot he's done that now, unforgivable. Would serve him right if someone who's well set gets a stinker when they've got no reviews left.

My initial reaction to SL's total was that it would more than likely be enough. After 10 overs of India's reply at 41-2 I was even more sure but a good recovery now from Gambhir & Kohli leaves the prospect of a tight finish if they can keep this up. I really hope for a thriller after the farce of the last final.

India 182/3 need 93 from 92 balls.

After the early wobbles its now looking like a comfatable win for the indians unless the lankan bowlers improve.

Looking good for India now, a couple of quick wickets would turn it on its head though.

If Sri Lanka do pull it off we might be hearing more about the toss incident.

India win by 6 wickets.

Congratulations to them on winning their 2nd World Cup and becoming the first Host Nation to win the trophy.

Well that's one way to win a world cup, a six launched into the stands - it's been an infinitely better tournament than the last one that's for sure.

Will stick my head on the block though and say neither of these sides will win the competition....You need a good bowling attack to win a World Cup and neither India or England have that.

I enjoyed this WC much more then 2007, a lot more close games with something in the pitches for both batsmen and bowlers, roll on 2015 and a few all nighters watching England win their first World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Thankfully the Cricket World Cup has now ended.

Lock/move/delete this thread quickly before anybody else posts anything as laughable as this.
