And far too big for you as it never ever looks anywhere near full. Headingley is a proper "Rugby" ground and has an awesome atmosphere and never looks empty.
Would that be Leeds Rhino's pitch which has been used as a car park when the cricket has been on in the past????

yes the club also used to own the cricket ground, now YCC,or the england the test and county cricket board will pay them for the use of it as a car park if they still do of course
Soon we will be dancing the Fandango

what does this prove? That The ECB pay to use OUR ground for cars? Well done. Sooner or later Wigan will be playing home games in Saints' new ground as the funds aren't available for their own.
Maybe if mr Lenaghan was on hand to take over before the move from CP Wigan rlfc would not have had to move out and the old stadium would have been in the process of an upgrade just like Headingley is now. Leeds rlfc owes a lot to messrs Caddick and Hetherington, they took on the debt ,but they also got a prime assett in a prime location which saved the day. Also as regards using the rugby pitch as a car park for test matches, its no different than football clubs using their pitches for rock concerts.

Yeah, a fifteen year old DW stadium with a "soon to be relegated no doubt" football team with 10k rattling around in it and leave it empty for 4 months of the year.
Makes financial sense to break the legally binding 25 year lease, doesn't it??

Nice one,You may become an investor with a chance of a takeover of the ground as owner's. The Latics must have quite a subsantial debt

Therefore implying that Leeds also spent unwisely pre-SL chasing the dream of success. Just take a look at this:
Quote:In 1985 he signed for Wigan for a fee of £150,000, with Steve Donlan and Phil Ford moving to Bradford in exchange for Hanley as part of the deal. Hanley finished his first season for the club with 35 tries.
Quote:In September 1991 at the age of 30, he joined Leeds as a player and coach for £250,000, (based on increases in average earnings, this would be approximately £493,000 in 2009).[8] Upon his arrival at the club, he was immediately appointed captain
Whilst you still got a great player, this shows how desperate Leeds were to emulate Wigan. We got the better of the deal as it paved the way for Offiah and continued success, whilst Leeds huffed and puffed but still won nowt.

Of course they were following the wrong example it just about broke the club financially and for all that success achieved by Wigan in those days, they too also came into financial trouble. Leeds could have signed Ellery when he was a junior, but they did'nt for reasons which we wont go into. Thankfully Leeds are a different club now and the best run club in Super League
