what a terrible decision to take the under 23s game to the old crossleyans rugby union club......the same club who without notice turfed out 8 junior and 2 senior amateur rugby league teams from king cross park at the end of last season because they were told by the rugby football union that they would not receive some grant money for improvements whilst they had a rugby league section.................booted out at a monthly management meeting without warning and members of the committee saying....."we dont need rugby league here".................and even the treasurer saying "i never wanted them at our club in the first place"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely shocking decision halifax.................take the game to a amateur rugby league club or at the very least to another rugby union club who havent s~~t all over rugby league.......................shocking....................i hope nobody goes in the bar afterwards and lines thier pockets with much needed funds as they are down by tens of thousands of pounds since they kicked out king cross park !!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps Fax were in a difficult position if they had agreed to the match and then told they could not use the Shay. This in no way codones the actions taken by the Crocs, much along the same lines as when the Vandals kicked out girls RL and then the boys junior RL after taking lotttery money.

but why support an anti rugby league rugby union club ? why not support amateur rugby league by taking the game to an amateur rugby league club ?

Would be good to see Fax play up at Greetland, Siddal, Ovenden, Elland etc if possible rather than use the Rah Rah clubs. Putting money into the local amateur scene rather than the dark side. Much depends on availability and cost etc but maybe for the future if not now

I am guessing Greetland, Siddal, Ovenden and Elland would meet the Pitch must be ringed by a Fence and as far as I know all have suitable changing rooms, Car parking. Greetland and Siddal I believe have lighting as well but not sure if it fits the rules though.
