if a player breaks a rule... then rightly it should be a penalty
its when they dont punish others for the same offences that we scream foul..
a ref should be fair and impartial at all times, and blow for fouls if the players break the rules.

for example look at the leeds v hull game on sky, a ref that got a lot of decisions wrong, and then didn`t punish the obvious ones that should have been punished...
its consistency that we need..... if that means 30-40 pens per game before the players start playing properly then so be it...

dont give away stupid penalties and he cant pull you up. simples.

Child tends to favour the home side no matter where he is. I am not too worried by his appointment, I just hope he doesnt waste my money by ruining a good game.

Catalans may not be in full flow just yet but they are always a big set of lads and the players always know they've played against them so it should be pretty interesting.

Child favours the team on top, once a team get a head of steam (and a team tends to hang on) he really hammers the oppo. This is why you tend to see very one sided games when he officiates.
I agree don't give the pens away, but their must be something amiss when in two rounds he has given the awarded the most pens (by some way) in both rounds. It kills the game as a spectacle and afterall thats what we pay for. He needs to use some common sense at times.
