I cannot help but think though, that this is purely of Rovers making, trying to dodge around overseas regs in place. He's right in what he says though - Mason could/should have been here a good while already. I'm not having a pop at the club - but they did make a misjudgement, even if wasn't necessarily the result of poor judgement.

When you're deliberately shoehorning 10 players into 5 slots I'd argue you should be all over the situation and scenarios like a rash. 25 weeks to sort it out is a very long time.
