Red and White, tradition is all well and good but a boring white shirt with a red band wouldn't be a massive seller year on year i'm afraid. The shirt and it's style needs to be different every single season to get the sales the club expects.

Yes, that must be it. Fancy comparing a club that within one month of signing a player had sold 1.2 million shirts with his name on the back in Madrid alone with a club that will be lucky to sell 7000 Shirts.
Rovers customers are the same people year on year, I'd hazard a guess that Real Madrid appeal to slightly more people than Hull Kingston Rovers and if one person doesn't buy a shirt that will be cancelled out by someone else somewhere around the world deciding to buy one.
A white shirt with a red band is nice to have every now and again but 2 of the last 3 have been based on that design

So the fickle fans of Real Madrid will buy the same old white tat whilst our loyal but modest support won't purchase a recognizably Hull KR kit because, well, it's all a bit samey.

No, Real Madrid have a massive fanbase worldwide, if people decide not to buy a Real Madrid shirt because it looks similar then theres always someone else willing to buy one. Like I said they sold 1.2 million shirts with 9 Ronaldo on the back in madrid alone.
We don't have that luxury and although you are pining for a plain white shirt with a red band it's not something the club can afford to do year on year but i guess as long as you are happy then thats alright

TBF, I think Rovers should go all out for a proper retro shirt. Plain white, broad red band. The efforts based around this so far have been poor - that H thing was rubbish and the Carlotti shirt was the best of a bad bunch. 5 years on, surely it has to be a proper retro shirt? I don't mind the Peru one, but reckon in a season with Mason arriving it would be a fantastic opportunity to go for the best design you can, with the broadest appeal, particularly since last year's shirt was red.

Guess it does, thanks. Although that is of no interest to me and really wasn't the point of it, You want a white shirt with a red band and thats the be all and end all for you, not willing to budge and fair play. I'm not to fussed about going retro and having a traditional shirt as it's not something i'll lose any sleep over, However i can tell you thats exactly what we are going to get with a nice light and dark blue away jersey

Actually no it isn't. I bought the away strip last season. Decent enough design and let's face it, the home strip was a howler. So no, I don't completely dismiss buying the strip because it isn't a white shirt with a red band. I simply stated that was my preference, at which point you got on your high horse.
