When the 6 year deadline passes for FC to take action against Cooke, the truth will out and the FC board will have to finally answer for their miss-management and incompetence instead re-directing FC fans anger onto the innocent party who was Paul Cooke.
I for one would certainly like "the real answers" as to why Cooke left Hull.
As for Hull suing him, as Zod says its not going to happen.
There's no point in suing someone who has no money and in view of the way Cooke's career has declined since he left Hull, it would certainly be a case of kicking a man when he's down.

Can't say I dislike him, he did def help keep us up and win all the derbies, but I was disappointed that he never really fulfilled the potential he undoubtebly has. He will always be one of those "what if" players. I got the sense he never really had the mental attitude to be a great.

I feel sorry for him. Without him FC wouldn't have won the Challenge Cup or made a Grand Final, and Rovers would quite possibly not be in Super League. A shame for him that personal issues have eclipsed his obvious talent.

If he does get a super league club,i`m sure he will always get a good reception at Craven Park.

i think coming from Hull where he was the main man, where all there play went through him to Rovers where he had to play second fiddle to Dobbo affected his game, we all wanted to see him firing long balls out for Webster to come crashing onto but our style of play never really allowed him to do that. he seems to be one of those kids were no matter how hard they try to do well, the bad things always seem to be close by, hopefully he can get another S/L club because theres no doubt he has all the talent in the world

Yet on your own board you say greed and malice attracted him to Rovers and he has become alienated by fans from both clubs. It appears from the posts i have read most hull fans wish him the worst and hope his career is finished whilst the vast majority of Rovers fans wish him well and would welcome any appearances at CP with any S.L. club he signs for.
Just my opinion, of course.
Standing up to the forum bully.
It must be working, he doesn't like me...i'm devastated
Paul Cooke is a first rate idiot - both as a rugby player, and most definitely as a person.
Its a shame we can't discuss the later on here because I'm sure it would turn many people's opinions of the thug. I know full well that there are many Hull KR fans that share that opinion.
He made a massive mistake when he left Hull FC, which is now obvious. I don't think any body would say the management at Hull FC were completely innocent in that process, but the manner which he went about it was both amateurish and unprofessional and its ultimately cost him dearly in reputation with the wider Rugby League world. He's simply not a good enough player to overcome that.
The guy is a shadow of the player he was at FC, and he has never reached the form he had since leaving.
He has made his own bed, now he has to sleep in it. I only feel sorry for him in the sense that he has to live with the regret.
I hope the lad can turn his life around and prove me wrong, but at the moment he looks well and truly to be on a path that is no were near his potential, and that's just sad.
