Why, in that case, have no Leeds players been recognised since 2004 despite winning 4 championships, playing in 5 GFs and topping the table twice?

I am not sure to be honest mate. Jamie Peacock should have won it at some point.
I guess as the MOS is picked before the GF and you guys have not made the Cup Final in a while has worked against you. Maybe the Lance Todd winner will have a good shot at the MOS.

One man doesn't make a side - but there is no substitute for quality - and Barrett was head and shoulders above any other player in SL in his first year here - if he had been a British player he would have been a shoe in.
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Because there have been players who have been more deserving during those years.

Pffft. Andy Farrell got the sympathy vote in 2004 despite there being about 4 or 5 Leeds players being more deserving. And Peacock should've got it last season IMO

Obviously, just for those 5 years there have been more deserving players during those years. But now the Goons are top of the table, one of their players must win it. FACT?
