but no matter how bad they are they never get any repercussions and will ref, get paid full whack etc next week.

Would have thought that between the referee, two linesmen and the official in the stands linked up to the ref may have got the decision wrong between them.

Appalling decision, which i presume the referee knew he had fluffed, because he penalised Cas before they could inflict any damage on Rovers tryline.

Nothing will be done if they do pick it up. The referees' performances are reviewed every Monday and they get spoken to if they are deemed to have messed up. Stuart Cummings said in so many words at our forum the other week that his hands are tied because there are only 7 full time referees. It astounds me every week how they even things up penalty wise.

it cant be that hard to give a nl league ref or 2 a bit of training or summat. cant be worse than not knowing where the 40 metre line is

Cummings said he has given a couple of them a chance and they're not up to scratch yet. They must be REALLY p*ss poor if that's the case.
