After the Rochdale game, i really thought we had turned the corner, and were starting to look like a team. But we seem to have taken a couple of large strides backwards
My biggest concern is team selection, there is no continuity in the selection, 5 changes to the backline (admitedly once enforced thru Brown leaving to go to seagulls) And at least a couple more in the forwards. This just as we were starting to look like a team.
Only 3 props in the 17 man squad (Stanley 18th man) - cant work that out. No 2nd rows on bench 3 hookers in 17 ( all decent players, but surely only need 2) Ely used as a prop, not good at all IMO
The young lad Dobek, had a shocker, but it was his 1st full game, need to give him a chance
All in All we have a decent squad now, i would keep the majority of them for next season, with the odd exception, and add a few players (money permitting)
Wow! ... all this and no Trotsky yet ... he'll make some of this look complimentary if he tells it how it was in the bar straight after the game.
I'll keep my peace until tomorrow, just so a certain gentleman connected with the Club doesn't come out with his ... 'he shouldn't post when he's had a drink' rubbish.

We only turned up for two 5 minute spells in the second half and that was it. We have to play for 80 mins not 10.
Cant understand either the team selection, swapping everyone around , 2 hookers on the bench, Danny Stanley carrying the water bottles, taking off Kez and Ellery when they were getting us into the game on 55mins. I dont suppose we'll get any answers to this. Also the first time we really attacked down the right side we scored. I still cantweigh up the left side attack option all the time.
Its basics a lot of the time though. We coughed the ball up 4 times i think on the first tackle and there were a lot of bad options taken today with the ball in hand.

Some of the players on show would struggle to get in the Comps or Toll Bar side. I'll not name them but there is at least one forward, half back and back (you can name them if you like) who are getting money under false pretences. The club is going nowhere, and the coach doesnt seem to have a 'Plan B', even 'Plan A' (one up rugby, exactly the way he ALWAYS played) is a none starter. God help us.
It's performances (or lack of them) like yesterdays that frustrate those who attend. In our last home game we looked like a cohesive unit and the late scores by Rochdale flattered them to some degree. Yesterday, except for a short spell just after half time our players (in the main) looked like a disinterested collection of individuals who gave me the impression that the end of the season can't come quick enough.

I understand that Kyle Kesik had been unwell in the week before the game but his body language at the end of the game suggested that he wasn't happy with how little involvement he'd had in the game.
I agree that after those substitutions were made the game just went completely away from us after we'd done well to drag ourselves back into contention after a very poor first half.
