Pretty much perfect first half for us. I fully accept we have an advantage because United played midweek and we didn't, but even accounting for that we've controlled the game exceptionally well.

Not counting my chickens though. We don't hold leads and we had an even better performance against Citeh until we gave them a gift and collapsed.

He was ok.

He had a couple of chances to shoot early in the game but chose to try and play someone else in instead.

He then had a good chance and fluffed his shot.

For me I think he should've taken the first two shots and he'd have probably got his target right for burying the third chance. Instead he tries to play the ball too much for the first two chances and does nothing.

His goal I'm not sure how much he knew about it. I think it was 75% Malouda's goal as he did all the work and put the chance on a plate for him.

He then went off with a recurrence of a back injury.

His performance was worthy of keeping his place at Chelsea or a top club, but not as a superstar player. If he wants superstar money then he should be shown the door.

UEFA should take the hint and strip England of the 4th CL spot. It's obvious that no one wants it.
