Is it just me or does anybody else get totaly peed off when our headcoach is on sky commentating on other teams every other week, we are currently joint bottom but he seems to be able to correct the top teams problems and a few weeks ago the world club champions problems. Do we ever see mcguire on sky or Nathan brown or Tony smith ? NO we don't. Surely SM should be useing the time to study our teams perfomances on video etc and looking on ways for improvement. The guy has no shame or needs the money or both?
I apologise if this subject has arose before, but hearing him on sky tonight (again) has really angered me.

He does talk a good game and his points about building pressure and completing our sets are right but unfortunately we dont have enough quality in our squad to follow these instructions

Sorry The optimist and red preacher but I must disagree with you. My gran can talk about the fundamentals of the game, i.e building pressure. But I think SM is inept at coaching or coming with stratergies to help our players implement these basics, he can talk all day with what we need to be doing but is he actually out on the field in his boots showin and educating them to do it? I very much doubt it.

we all want fast flowing rugby league but to play that way you have to earn it by doing the "boring" stuff 1st.
The top teams are the best at it, they force an error, pin the other team back, repeat set then its try time making the other team work hard by making them do a shift of 9-12 tackles in a period of the game, without the ball the other team wilts, keep going back to the weak point get 2 scores infront then they'll play a bit and rack up a 30+ victory.
Salford players on the other hand very raley build any kind of pressure, we will kick the ball dead or give away a silly penalty brain farts all round and the pressure release valve is turned and we are on the back foot again we get 2 scores up and its job done feet up hold on till half time and we'll see when it shud be we have them on the ropes another score even a penalty and the game is ours.
I reaily hope the players read this and make me look a mug tonite and come out switched on, we'll see tho ......

Optimist, I partly agree with your comments about not being good enough to follow his instruction, but who brought these players in the first place, what bright talent could not wait to leave the club? who's job is it to have made some progress in his 3 years? how many super league games have we won in his 3 years, about 9 & lost about 38, this is why fans get angry when you listen to him pomtificating on sky TV. I watched the match last night & enjoyed but it was our coach who made me angry listining to his vebal poop! Anyway I will be there tonight cheering on the lads, come on you reds!

Do you think Alex Ferguson "is actually out on the field in his boots showin (sic) Rooney how to do it"?!

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

What must fans of other clubs think when they hear McRae spouting his mouth off. How can he even give any views when the tean he supposedly coaches is bottom of SL. I can talk a good game but certainly could not coach one.......................... very much like McRae then
Yes always see him on sky sports on training ground, do you see Sir alex on sky or BBC telling Chelsea what they are doing wrong? Don't want to get personal about SM but sir alex is in better condition than him and he's about 20 years older.
