I do appreciate the frustration shown by some and it's up to the players to get the fans on-side and fired up which they regularly fail to do. I think the club is in a long rut at home matches with players expecting abuse and fans expecting garbage. The only solution is for the players to come out really fired up and by giving 110% effort and commitment from the first minute to the last!

I completly agree with you there 'theredshed'. I forgot to mention that point.

Whats your 17 likely to be like?

Reardon, Halley, L'Estrange, Hall, Scruton, Sheriffe, Sykes, Langley, Kopczak, Donaldson, Menzies, Kearney, Godwin, Nero, Lynch, Crookes, Whitehead, Worrincy, Orford.

That's our 19, so I expect we'll go something like this :

Halley
Sheriffe
Sykes
Nero
Reardon
Kearney
Orford
Lynch
L'Estrange
Scruton
Whitehead
Langley
Menzies

Godwin
Hall
Kopzcak
Worrincy/Donaldson

I remember when the team stayed on the pitch after the warm up and they were kept revved up and that seemed to work that day. Maybe also the players could help themselves more by interacing with the crowd after say dragging someone into touch or scoring a try. Mal Alker as the captain needs to set an example to his team and try to motivate the crowd when possible.

Bradford aren't the team they once were both on and off the field they have underachieved massively over the last couple years, but any team with the likes of Orford, Kearney and L'Estrange in are going to be a massive threat. Saying I still think we have a good chance to get our season up and running. If we complete are our sets, carry on kicking like we did at Leeds and defend our line like we did last week there's no reason why we can't pull a win out of the bag. As already pointed out we do need to stop Orford, but also remember there are another 12 men out there.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr

I think L'Estrange will be as big of a threat as orford, his craftiness at times is awesome. I'm happy that our 6,7 & 9 are now a threat, but I would be wary of you lot aswell. In the highlights of the Leeds game you lot looked good, especially in attack imo. We'll need to make sure we do not underestimate you.

Don't you think a club like Salford need a really good motivator, someone like John Kear rather than a statistical coach who only plays a percentage game with odds firmly stacked against him each match? It's horses for courses!

First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.

I think Bradford will go well this year and have just taken a game or two to gel at the beginning of the year.

I thoroughly expect us to be soundly beaten on Friday.

I will be happy as long as we put in a decent effort and try to play some decent rugby.

My concern is that several of my my vocal peers will not be happy with that if the scoreline is against us.

The fact that so many on here think we've got a really good chance of beating Bradford worries me a little, as it may over-inflate expectations and hence lead to a bigger disappointment if/when we lose.

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book
