The Reds day slipped off my radar as for the fans day at the TC it was a pretty enjoyable couple of hours last time especialy for younger supporters.
Hopefully we can mange to get a mascot there this year.

Isn't the purpose of the Salford event mainly a media day where the press get their photos and interview the players - with the club also saying that fans are welcome if they want to pop along? Bearing that in mind, any serious sports journalist or photographer is likely to be otherwise engaged covering sport on a weekend, so a weekday makes perfect sense.

Yes, because the local media really do a lot of coverage of Salford dont they. . Even Key 103 will mention wigan/wire and saints before us.

Surely that's some form of oxymoron, Key 103 and media in the same sentence. The radio station with a record archive that fits in a shoe box and a combined talent of the presenters that requires even less space to store it.

And the club would get even less coverage if they didn't try courting the media. The point is, it is a media event and not a fans event. The club have a pre season event at the Willows every year for the fans to attend - just because they are open enough to allow fans to the media event doesn't suddenly mean it moves away from being at the more convenient time for the media and the venue. Besides, we're talking Salford fans here and an event that isn't at the Willows - you probably wouldn't get more than 20 turning up on a Saturday afternoon (unless they were already shopping there).

Maybe that's blown the cover on the mystery number 22.
