Its not Clinton for Mills, its Clinton for Fozzard/Aizue. There is no reason on earth for Rovers to offload Mills either team structure wise of financially. The story should never have been printed.
Yes i am heartily sick of the perception that everything antipodean is better than British. Clinton, and O'Meley for that matter, have been in decline in aussie for the past few years yet everyone on here wets their pants and knocks one out everytime they talk about them.
I understand your sentiment and agree to some extent. I have already stated I agree with you about Mills ability.
The problem is when judging players in the NRL is that it's an unfair comparison. Look at players like Galea, solid in the NRL but a star over here. Lovegrove did nothing in Aus but Rovers fans rave about him. Dobson could not even get a game yet comes over here and makes the dream team. O'Meley and Clinton are proven, especially Shrek with his SOO and Aus experience too. They both have the potential to come over here and make a huge mark on our game, whereas Mills doesn't. They could also fail and that is the chance you take.
I see no reason for Mills not to stay unless Rovers have an issue with the cap or want/need to save money. Or maybe he wants to go somewhere where he feels he will get a game more often.
