this post says guilty consciense to me about the salary cap when nobody mentioned it and you bring it up. So what do you know?

No worries, No harm done.
Of course I don't see Myler every week but I have seen him play a number of games over the last two years and for young kid he has been exceptional after being thrown in the deep end.
Without knowing every detail about his performances I can tell you that from the outside looking in it seems as though he's being ostracised by the club for choosing to go elsewhere. Maybe it's just coincidence that his omission from the first team has coincided with his apparent signing for Warrington.
It doesn't hurt to have a dispassionate and objective view from an outsider added to the debate.

His omission from the first team coincided with a massive drop in his standards of performance. In fact, for a lot of Salford fans, he retained his place in the side for a good few weeks longer than his performances merited.

The problem lies in the fact he is still under contract at Salford for another year after the current season, Salford offered him a contract when no one else would after Widnes went bust.
All most fans want is a little honesty, play out your contract giving of your best. Myler has like Robinson and Coley before him failed to do this.
David Hodgson on the other hand demonstrated how to conduct yourself in difficult circumstances. So did luke Dorn

Are we sure he's done anything wrong? Stated was with Wire at Wembley... any pics confirmation?
Love the way he's a mercenary for not accepting Salford deal... isn't that restricted employment etc? Here's a new deal... no sorry I want to move to another club... Oh how dare you- monay grabbing blah blah!
hate to say it but...
Wire - Salford
Better facilities
Better players around him
England coach
Similar / higher salary
Larger crowds
More likley to play in 'the big occasions'!
What do you want him to do? Salford signed him for free from struggling us and are getting circa 200k for him... I'd say it's them who have done best out of this all!

F*ck me sideways...
Nobody begrudges him moving. We all realise it's a better move for him. We realise we're getting a nice wedge out of it. We're all happy that we're keeping other young players instead that we actually rate higher than Myler. However, there's been a visible change in attitude and rumblings of discontent in the dressing room, backed up by him not appearing in recent games. No one's particularly bothered that he's moving. It's the way it's happened and the way that, in his last few games for the club, he's looked completely disinterested. There's been no real effort and no honesty on his part. That's the problem, not the fact that he's moving on.
Now, has that sunk in yet, or do we have to explain it monosyllabically?
On about outisde views on situation! Plus 'way he's behaiving' is that the same in drop of performnace?
When 1st rumblings of Wire move came about (in RL press) his form did drop alot his head was clearly turned which isn't good! But doesn't mean he's been messing up the dressing room! Really when performance dropped and McRae decided not to play him you'd off been better off trying to sell there & then!

All well and good saying that but how many clubs would of had the room on the cap for such a big wage
He was shot in both arms , and both legs. He later died because of his injuries. Tommy 25th March 2007.
Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?"
Did think that but with Gleeson & Reardon gone, Picks & Penny loaned out (% off wage) and only Mathers in!
May have been room… plus could pay a reduced rate for him for end of this year!
The main mistake Salford made IMO in terms of keeping Richie was not giving him a new deal as soon as promoted / before start of the season! Would off prob signed on a new deal for SL and been cheaper than when you finally got around to it!
