Alright well let's move on and forget it and fair play for getting involved and being part of something positive for your community, respect for that. I work for Leeds Social Services so am not too familiar with what is happening in the Hudds area. I don't know why you and I have clashed on here so much, I don't even know you and so it seems wrong to me. Hope we can have a virtual shaking of hands and move on?

I've been a Wire for 37 years now. Having also been to games as a neutral (Wigan, Leeds) I can say that we are far more passionate than either of those. The only ones I have seen with the same passion are Salford fans.
When things are going great, we are great. However when things are going bad we take it to the extreme, eg, Matt king, Matt Rodwell, Steve Anderson era. It seems that you can't have one without the other.
Like Fifi and Wuzz and Wadski we wre in the top tier with a good view -but it wouldnt have mattered if wed had Take That`s PA --you wouldnt have heard our 7 voices !!
My take on this is this
They scored -after what I still consider a dubious pick up
We then had a try disallowed that after watching the recording looks Ok and endorsed by Jonathan Davis on commentary
We then score to level --but we would have been in the lead
It would have been interesting to see what effect that would have had on the Warrington chant and noise !! - sadly we`ll never know!
One thing I do know is this
At Warrington we kicked off the scoring - never lost the lead - and frankly though outnumbered were noisier than Saints -- and it continued
I know sing when youre winning comes to mind -- but its fact --and its not a total criticism
Leeds Saints and Wigan supporters can be exceptionally quiet when playing catch-up rugby - as Saints were against our depleted team the other Friday
Yes Warrington outnumbered us
They hadnt the distractions in their town of a football team playing the same day and at a reduced price entry fee -(a "gesture" - which after all KD has done for them - I find absolutely despicable )
I am informed that they even announced it at the previous home game that it had been brought forward to accommodate another "sporting event" - If true (perhaps someone could confirm" )its childish to the extreme in my opinion and an absolute disgrace!!!
Nevertheless -- I still feel that "we didnt really turn up as a team and some players were far below the standard they set themselves in the semis - but thats sport
But I dont blame the fans /the coach / or the team
And whilst we can "lift" the team - if leading- it shouldnt be a necessary contribution
Do you shout for Boycott - who then scores a ton
Do you clap Higgins - who then scores a 147
or Tiger who then goes round in 6 under??
The pride determination and guts has to come from within as well !!
Once out there -- the coach has little influence on the team hes trained all week --or the fans either
and some times - for whatever reason - it doesnt happen
Thats sport - thats life Otherwise underdogs would never win when their "big" opponents have twice / three times the support - (vocal or otherwise!!)
( EG Hunslet v Hudds- ???)
After watching the rerun several times again --we werent that far away but with the two disallowed tries for instance we would have been looking at a much lesser differential and even had Warrington playing catch up - thats how close it really was
Fate, lady luck, and a visually impaired official werent on our side - and boy would we have needed some noise to counterract all that!!
So lets scrap this self criticism - accept it wasnt to be -- and, despite the injury problems, pick ourselves up for the matches we still have to play
The benefit for a season ticket boost by winning some silverware is temporary "on hold" - lets hope we get a second bite at the cherry

Couldn't agree more, I won't bother going to watch Town anymore after a stunt like that. £5 to watch a game of football, it worked though as they pulled in over 12,000.

I would say generally with the apathy they dont! If we cant get fans along now I doubt we ever will much as it hurts to say this. My fear is that when Ken steps aside then what - I really fear for our future as a Superleague club and no one can say we havent had a fair crack of the whip. ATEOTD if the people wont watch the team what can you do?.
