A bit harsh...was a daft mistake but nowhere near as ridiculous as Bell, Prior or Flintoff's dismissals...if the pitch keeps on breaking up and turning as it has done already, 330+ could well be a competitive score...we just need to try and set them something challenging and spin em out!!

I think for us winning the match depends on the long shot that Flintoff and Harmison are both on song. Harmison has been in good form for Durham this year and the Oval pitch should suit him, if him and Flintoff on his last hurrah can be bowling 92mph plus and Harmison in one of those moods where every ball is kicking up to the batsmans neck, then we can do the Aussies for 250-300, which is what we will need.

Interesting listening to Warne tonight, he reckons 330-350 could be a decent score now on this pitch. Also said it might suit the taller, bang it in bowlers like Fred and Harmo who should get uneven bounce aswell as Swann with the way the pitch is crumbling and turning.

Still the first day was frustrating, a bit more application and we could have been only 5 down.

Yes, irrespective of how the pitch deteriorates, it was still good enough yesterday for a score of say 330-5.

We should have made 450 on this pitch after being 176-2 even if it's not the best oval wicket ever.

If we'd have done that we'd be in a great position. As it stands we probably need another 50 tail end runs this morning to be close to par.

If Shane Watson was bowling at 89mph (absolutely no chance whatsoever!!) and Siddle was getting to near 94mph then I dread to think what an on-fire Flintoff could reach!!

And what would Waqar and Wasim be reaching, 150mph???
