The south stand is terrible, no-one in their right minds would say otherwise, but so is Odsal and Wakey, did it stop lots of you lot going to the Boulevard (which was the worst stadium in RL).
Being old school, I still go for the rugby, not the beer, pies or any other peripheral parts attached to match days.
SO, that would be why you would not expect a world cup match to be played there! And Not because were "biggots" or "Biased" or any other name calling you can come up with. And just to keep you up to date The boulevards reign as a rugby league venue end over a decade ago, typical of a rovers supporter to dwell on the past! Id take odsel over C.P any day.
With a STADIUM of the K.C caliber, as a city "we" should be thankful that it more likely would be the venue of choice.

Robbo4 wrote:Silly me I thought we were allocated the South Stand. That selective reading syndrome really is a serious problem in East Hull Just to clarify, it was reported in the local press that only 100 seats were still available in the North stand, would you risk turning up on the off chance some of the tickets were still available? Your website claimed the game was sure to be a sellout so why would Hull fans think they could get tickets for other areas of the ground? Oh yes I know because loads of your fans were watching the game in the pubs despite it being a HOME fixture.
All of this will be completely ignored by super fan I'm sure

The game is lauded in other parts of the country as been behind the times and been a lesser sport, could you imagine a RU or a soccer game been played at a place like CP? It's god awful ground and if our country can't provide better stadiums than yours we don't deserve to host it.

Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.
Quite sad, really!

So what you want to do is host all the games at 25,000 - 90, 000 stadiums like the K.C, D.W, and Wembley, and when its a game between the small nations just have 2000 people there with no atmosphere?
and in 2013 who is to say that C.P will not have been improved?

No, what I want is for us not to show off the worst bits about RL.

Who will generate an atmosphere at the KC for a world cup game...the only atmosphere of any note is when rovers play u there and its nigh on full capacity....surely uruguay has a point when he says the smaller stadium would generate more atmosphere?....the east stand create's a good noise and a world cup game there would generate alot of interest in my opinion?...

So the worst bit about the WHOLE of R.L is our stadiums and in particular C.P? Really?
Why pretend to be something we are not? its not football with multi million pounds getting thrown around, every RL club does not have a Super stadium. all im trying to put across is to play the games at places that will appreciate them being there.

Unfortunately for such places, I can't imagine the sponsors thinking like this.
Corporate hospitality will play a huge part on which venues are decided.
I'm gonna spit all over you, by accident of course.
