You will get in next time if you can remain solvent.
Given your boss is a very shrewd man, I would think you will be better off having missed out in the first round of Licences and arrrive in SL in much better condition that Salford or Celtic have this year.
I was suprised that Salford got the nod ahead of you, but I will be stunned of 2lose get in ahead of you next time around.
Celtic would seem to be having a PSG type of event and they will be in massive trouble should LS get bored. This should be a warning to the RFL that London apart, you can't expect to plant a team in a non RL region and expect decent players (Australian or otherwise) to move there. We spent 10 years with a team full of crims and the only reason we could attract them was LONDON....somehow, Bridgend isn't as appealing. It has taken us a long time to attract players of decent quality to the south, but now the likes of Orr and Purdham are saying how great it is down here, others may follow.
As I said above, if you don't get into SL next time around I will be stunned.

I'd say if Toulouse continue their development they'd be more worthy of a franchise than Celtic were. They're already one of the top supported clubs in the league.
I think a heartland club will be dumped in favour of Toulouse, I just hope Widnes get in there too.

Well, you tick the stadium box, without having to build one out of origami You contribute to the comp (mainly by providing players for other clubs to poach), your community team (IIRC) recently won an award and you have a steady fan base. I really think that if the RFL are going to promote 1 club, it should be you, but if it's 2.....you are sure to get in.

Steve is a very astute businessman, and he has brought an extremely professional approach to the club. With him at the helm I can see us getting a license next time round.

Leigh didn't beat them on the criteria. Their application was very unprofessional.
Sure it came out when Cullen was on about no-one getting to training etc, said basically we all train together so part time is best for everyone IIRC! Plus it would save us money which can only be a good thing! No-one else in this division runs as many full time contracts so doubt players would walk away aswell!
Would seem strange given it was prepared by these lot at considerable cost

I saw the presentation (on youtube I think) before it was taken down and it was very poorly done. A teenage school project would have been better.
As for Allan Rowley, he came out with a statement that was universally condemned by almost the whole of Rugby League and embarrassed the club of Leigh. Most people see him as indicative of how unprofessional Leigh are. He might be a nice bloke but he should have left the club. He is hampering any chance you could possibly have of applying for Super League.

You are talking a load of crap.
The presentation was as good as any and was very well received.
Alan only said what everyone including the vast majority of RL fans from Widnes thought but he had the guts to say it, unprofessional possibly but when has it been a crime to stand up and be counted.
If brown nosing gets you into SL, your club is doing a great job, with half the Sky team on your side and a former chum as your coach, you are half way their
Over 50 years of pain, pleasure, frustration, joy, heartache and ecstasy that supporting Leigh has given me but I would not swop it.

And where would you rather be?
Diplomacy is an art my friend, Leigh could have done with some at the time of the announcements.
