In my opinion overseas players are on too much money compaired with British born players and quite frankly I am sick of ther site of these over-rated players from down under year in year out down at the Willows, some of them are just over here on a working holiday.
Of course there not all bad because at other Super League clubs they can attract a better class of player but not at Salford City Reds.
Over the many years I have watched Salford we have seen some real crap players from down under and the sooner we start giving home bred young players a chance to shine in the top grade the better.
At this time we have the likes of Lewis Palfey, Marlon Alker and Jack Spencer all waiting in the reserves for there big chance to prove themselves, but I'm afraid our head coach is not willing to take a chance on them yet.
Well in my opinion I think the time is right here and now to give these young players a chance, we've nothing to loose theres no relegation to worry about.
So come on Salford City Reds coaching staff give the young players on the books a chance now.
GET THEM BLOODED A.S.A.P.
Good post
As an Aussie myself, i am interested in seeing young British players coming through the ranks, not some has beens and never has beens who can't get a start in the NRL.
Super League is not like Premier League, it does not attract the best imported players in the world, only the leftovers and therefore clubs are better off producing their own.
A result of that would be more depth for the National team to choose from.
