He has had a knee clean out and a cartledge trimmed nothing more. He has a broken bone in his hand which would have kept him out for 6 weeks and his current club has allowed him to bring his leaving forward to allow him to have the clean out and get an earlier start to his visa application.

The last bit sounds like pro-active planning on our part. I need to go for a lie-down.
Agar has brought in his players now, so he will be under pressure to deliver.
His contract runs out in 2010 - at the same time,a handful of proven NRL Manager's contracts are up for renewal.
However, Sean Long, will probably be the attack coach, just as he is now at St Helens, which may a mean a stay of execution for Agar.
My gut feeling, is that Agar is not the right man for the job!!!
I hope that the fact that it is Agar who has brought them in and not previous incumbents is key. It will be interesting to see who is cleared out. I think that might tell us more about Agar than we've been able to ascertain whilst he's been trying to field makeshift teams from his injury-ravaged squad. So he will have a squad that is rid of who he considers to be "deadwood" (don't like using that term but you know what I mean), keeps the players he rates and is bolstered by his signings. My hope is that he is the right man for the job. I'd love to see a relatively young British coach doing well in SL (especially for us). After that, if FC do poorly, then it must be down to him.

I know its not clever kids and I dont condone violence but I think its good to have a few players in your side with a bit of niggle in em !!!
