Probably the most obvious thing to say but how we start is so important. In our poorer performances an early mistake has resulted in the other team scoring and we have subsequently struggled to get going.

We don't necessarily need an early score just a few solid sets of six and then not do something dumb. Against both Salford and Cas we were winning the early stages, coming away from our line well and generally restricting the other teams field position. On both occasions though a poor kick, one from a penalty the other in general play, gave the other team good field position from which they scored. We then get anxious try to push our passes and start dropping ball all over.

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war"

Will be in Pittsburgh this upcoming weekend so will be missing this on the radio, likely too hung over to wake up for 10am :P

Giants to take it in a close one, maybe a last minute drop goal by Robbo or Hodgeson

Not sure about this one actually - usually its a case of oh its only our feline friends , we'll duff em but with our home form at the moment and the fact they will be smarting from a mega thumping at their place then i can see a finger biter.

I'll stick my neck out and go for Fartown by 12 - after all its only Wakey

I thought the Castleford forwards were very good against us the other week and showed Wakey what they need to do to win. I'm hoping NB doesn't use the forwards in the same way he tried against Cas' because it didn't work.

I thought Castlefords forwards other than Seageant were very average. IMO we easily won the forward battle. We lost due to poor decision making from the halfbacks, unforced errors and hesitant attacking play from the outside backs.
Cut these out and we should win, carry on with the errors and we will get beat as Wakey play a no frills simple game playing out their sets and relying on Broughs kicking game.

I think Stella has it spot on, our forwards win the battle week in and week out, its the backs that let us down, or to be specific the halfbacks.

I think its been said already, but as long as we dont give up a soft try against the run of play, we will win.

I thought that the way the Cas forwards rushed to close down the 10 metres was pretty effective. I agree with the comment about our half backs though.

You seem to play better away from home than what you do at home.....

It will be a complete diff game this time around and I am sure it will be on the players minds about what went on at our place!

Listened to a lot of the Wakey game on radio Leeds and most if not all Wakefield's points seem to have come off the back of penalties. Tries or kicks. If we can cut out giving way silly penalties and stop dropping the ball when it would be easier to score than not get over the line, we'll walk it. Oh, and if we keep Brad Drew quiet.

To be fair if you look at the majority of tries scored in all games most come off back to back sets and penalties.
