With the precarious coaching situation we have at the moment, I feel it would not be prudent to announce any players for two reasons

1. If we announce players now it could be seen to be Nobles signings when in fact they have been brought in on the advice of the possible new coach, thus not giving a true reflection of who has decided on the player. Especially if we decide to stick with noble, he will have players recommended by another coach. Not a major problem I know but not an ideal one.

2. If a player brought in now has been linked with any future coach we bring in, this will undermine Noble and for the moment he is still in charge, again not an ideal situation.

I feel that if we were to announce signings with Nobles future undecided it just leaves to many ambiguities.

Finally if we do not sign any good players then we have the right to slate IL, if only for the reason that he has purposely mid led us fans by touting the likes of Mason, Thurston etc in the press.

I agree we could already have two NRL players signed up, look at Mr Ronaldo, February the deal was 99% done, hardly anyone knew!

Our signings will be annouced right at the end of the season I guess, with the current situation.

exactly.

I don't think there will be player announcements regardless of whether they are signed or not because we would need to announce the coach before.

Whether or not we have signed a new coach, it should not be announced until after nobles contract has run out imo.

Contract talks between R. Madrid and Ronaldo took place from last Summer, but the 80million pound bid wasn't made until mid-May.

As we all know nowadays, contract talks have to be agreed before transfer fees are

No thats not right, you agree a transfer fee with the club. when the say yes you then negotiate a contract with the proposed player.

well thats how it should work

It's how it happens in the world of football I'm afraid, no way could the former R. Mardid president make a 80million pound bid last year or early this year, only Florentino Perez, who regained control in May could afford that sort of bid. The guy that created the Galactico's

Did anyone watch Carl Webb this morning for the Cowboys in their win over the Roosters?

He looked rather average. Despite the try, which was a result of very very soft defence from the Roosters, he did very little.

If someone's told you that Kearney's turned us down, then tell us when, tell us who (or at least how he's supposed to know), and tell us the circs surrounding it. If it's not happening, how can it possibly need to remain a secret?

Until such time as you provide this data, I'll continue to hope for someone like Kearney.

So what are the voices saying now then?

Anyone can say that! I could say Myler has turned us down and I won't divulge my source and when he re-signs for Salford or goes to Wire and he says he turns down Wigan I could say 'ha ha told you so' but I was just putting 2 and 2 together so get off your high horse and stop listening to the voices!

It would be a lot different if you told us who we were to sign because the post were you say someone isn't signing are ten a penny and full of shi'ite and are pointless!

Baked bean boogie inside knowledge -

Keiron Dyer is injured
Morrisey is miserable
The moon is NOT made of cheese

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
