I really don't understand your problem with Johnson. It's slightly overpriced but he's good and we need to buy English players, he's probably the best English right back around so it kind of makes sense, as that's arguably our weakest spot.

It would soften the blow to get the best striker in the world paired with the best number 9. Gerrard can always go back to being the midfielder he once was.
