its not they don't travel its just it is RU territory its a case of if its on the doorstep the curious will poke their heads in to see what its like where as they probably wouldn't make the 70+ mile round trip to test out in bridgend
Interesting ,I would loved to have seen that match played here at the Arms Park/ City Stadium but Newport is even closer than Bridgend.
Strange that it is the only match plyed outside Bridgend this year, be very interesting to see the crowd for that. I would go and watch the Cru if they play in Wrexham if it was possible.
I think the majority of matches need to stay at the Brewery.
Interesting and good idea, good luck with it... being the de-facto Welsh national representatives in the SL is very much the way to go, just as Auckland Warriors do in the NRL (and Team Glamorgan did in their mid-nineties Cricketing heydey)...
...it does beg a few questions, though.... like, 'why Bridgend?' in the first place...
What a shame there's not a meaningful population centre half way between Bridgend and Newport... ideally you'd want a capital city for the Country's elite team, somewhere with an airport, and hotels, and a track record of hosting top line sports, and maybe some venues capable of holding 10-15,000. If only such a place existed, it would be the natural home for Crusaders....
