England 70-1.
Strauss C Ramdin b Gayle 26. I'm imagining the irony of that dismissal will not have been lost on either of the 2 captains

LUNCH
England 85-1
Cook 39
Bopara 9
Decent session for England, I'm sure they'd have settled for only losing one wicket before the start of play.

Cook gets a ton...well played lad, about time he started converting his 50s and 60s.
And Bopara surely puts to bed the number 3 issue for a while with another excellent knock, closing in century number 3 in successive tests...I will await him getting out shortly as I will have clearly jinxed the fella now!!

So we send in Jimmy Anderson as a nightwatchman.
Mind you, Pietersen would've only been a nightwatchman as well, wouldn't he?

Great knocks by the two Essex lads yesterday, would like to see KP come into today and really try and blast WI away.

167-8
Nearly there now, Bresnan has taken two wickets but I can't see it saving his place in the Test team.
