That was always going to be the next road he would go down along with media/tv type work aswell. He's already dipped his toe in the promoting game with a succesful night he did with Jane Couch a few months ago.

He needs to be careful though and remember and think back to what got so many fans liking and following him years back, if he does do he could be very succesful in that career.

Vic Darchinyan wants go at Manny Pacquiao :o VIC Darchinyan wants to meet the world's best pound-for-pound fighter Manny Pacquiao at an intermediate weight and believes he's suited to the Filipino superstar's style.

Pacquiao underlined his status as the planet's finest pugilist on Sunday by demolishing Kostya Tszyu's conqueror Ricky Hatton in two rounds at Las Vegas.
The power-hitting 30-year-old southpaw added a light welterweight world title to the championship belts he had previously collected at flyweight, super bantamweight, super featherweight and lightweight.

Like Darchinyan, Pacquiao started his rampage through the divisions as a flyweight and the Australian is also eyeing world belts in several divisions.

Sydney-sider Darchinyan will shortly challenge for a bantamweight world title having previously earned a couple of flyweight belts before unifying the super flyweight division.

The 33-year-old Armenian-born fighter will join Jeff Fenech as the only Australia-based boxer to win world titles in three divisions if he overcomes Ghana's IBF bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko in Florida on July 11.

Ricky needs to hang up his gloves.

The constant weight fluctuations (which Floyd warned him about) have finally caught up with him. His punch resistance is gone.

He's always been easy to hit. Throughout his career he's lived by taking a punch to give one. Pre-Mayweather it wasn't a problem. But now it's a potentially lethal one.

The decline set in immediately after Tszyu. He put everything into that fight and struggled ever since (with the exception of Malignaggi - who didn't pose a problem because he had no punch). He was lucky to beat Collazo. Urango had him in trouble and so did Lazcano.

His two defeats have been bad ones. KTFO and into Queer Street. If he carries on he's putting his health in serious jeopardy.

I have no problem with Freddie Roach. He wasn't telling Ricky any lies. Freddie has no wish to see Hatton crippled with Parkinsons.

I don't know about that point I've highlighted. I don't think anyone would survive the blow that he took. The part that worries me is how easy Manny got him with it.

The first knock down was beautiful skill by him though. To deliver that kind of blow and avoid one from Hatton was just awesome.

I agree about Roach. He knew Ricky would go to his old ways. He said it all along. The moves you saw in the fight were the moves you saw everyone saw on SKY tv.

As harsh as it is, I couldn't disagree with any of that.

It was easy because Ricky threw everything Floyd taught him away and reverted to form. Floyd was going beserk at the end of round one. "Get your gloves up. How many times have I told you to get your gloves up? etc"

He was wide open to that cross from the opening second. To be honest, I was surprised he lasted that long.

His punch resistance is definitely gone. Sure, Manny hits hard - but I very much doubt he hits harder than Tszyu - or Urango for that matter. Five years ago Ricky would have taken that shot. As for the final blow - if you watch closely you notice his mouth is open. It doesn't take much to starch a guy with his mouth open if you catch him clean on the jaw.
