bit of advice my mates son lived in barca keep wallets and phones in front pockets at all times ladies be careful with bags they tend to slit ur bag open with say a stanley knife to gain access. if you take pics or make a call keep very tight hold of them they will snatch it and run barca is full of little warrens i know it all sounds a bit ott but at least you won't lose ur hard earned cash or your belongings apart from that enjoy ur self

Be carefull if your getting the train. The journey can take anything up to 8 hrs with possibly 3 change overs! Booked alicante- barcelona return flight fri- sun for just over 100 euros each. The flight is 1hr 10 mins, easier and quicker.

8 hours and 3 changes! maybe in 1952
you can get the euromed train from alicante to barcelona for €52.70. if you book online the price is currently €21.20 there's a talgo or alaris that cost €47.60 or €19 online.
it's more or less the same to go back to alicante.
