Pathetic that you should even join in a discussion regarding fans walking from games, as you never go to any.

Well, I didn't exactly have the best experience at Wakefield yesterday. Nothing too major, but we just had the typical middle-aged blokes with the usual case of ''little club sydrome''. I think 90% of our passes were forward, we was offside at every tackle, Feka 'should be in prison', we shouldn't be in SL because of the salary cap problems, we don't own our own ground, the reason why their gate was so low was because of the Wigan support and just general got a chip on their shoulder idiots looking for arguments.

They seemed to hate going to watch Rugby, not sure why they bothered.

Some people on our coach were saying they had a few problems. They take it a bit beyond banter at Wakefield at times. It all depends where you stand. If you stand in the middle on of the Wigan fans or to the left of the away end (if your facing the stick) then your okay. But if you stand to the right of the away end where the home and away fans can link up that is where you might get some bother. Only ever seen fighting at a rugby league game at Wakefield.

Did anyone try and get in the Tory club just outside the gate????. When we tried we got a big "MEMBERS ONLY!!!" from some Neanderthal and his miniature moustachioed accomplice. Fair enough I suppose but the place was empty, you would have thought that with this “credit crunch” pubs and clubs would have embraced our custom. I have never been turned away at an away game before. :P

Same experience I'm afraid.

Very poor, seeing as it wasn't exactly packed inside

Not allowed to let non-members in. Was in paper a few weeks ago, breaking law if they do!

As for Wakey fans, don't tar us all with same brush

Got it in one there, I reckon.

I've often found that the least friendly stadia to visit tend to be places like Wakey, Cas and Leigh, where there's a genuine astmosphere of hostility. Much more so than places like Leeds, Bradford, Saints and even Hull - in these latter cases there usually tend to be a lot more home fans, so I think the chaff gets lost in the wheat.

Also, I don't think it helped yesterday that they were pretty confident of victory but, long before the finish, realised how lucky they were not to be on the end of a major drubbing.

Well we were first asked if we were members, and then if we were Wakefield or Wigan fans. Had I thought faster and said Wakefield I could have had a nice pre-match pint instead of a plastic bottle of Carlsberg

We got in as a friend of ours is a committee member and gets us membership every year. The problem arises from a few years back when Hull supporters caused problems in there, so they stopped opposition fans going in. By about 2:45 the club was full.
