No one's disputing that, but your opinion is supposed to be based on what you actually think, not based on knowledge that a decision has been made by a particular person.

What I actually think is like I said before, he had a decent game but nothing that would make him be MOM in the slightest.

My MOM today would have been Hock, but on another topic his name has not been mentioned at all. Shows what I know

The reason he got MOM was because out of all the players who were on the pitch for the majority of the time, he didn't make any f*ck ups, like most of the other players did.

Everyone else was either absent for most of it, or kept dropping the ball/making stupid errors.

Stop trying to justify a ridiculous decision!

23 - 20 - 4

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

I don't need to. I paid for the privilege. He who pays the piper calls the tune, right? ;-)

i thought his kicking game was the key today in smiths performance, he found touch on several occasions and kept turning celtic around and in them conditions he executed his kicks perfectly.

some of his passes, i made a comment to my mate that when smith is on our attack seems to flow more, and he dummied me at one point where amos scored, i didnt have a clue where the ball was until roberts got it because smithy confused me!

Same. I actually groaned at that, because I thought he'd done a typical Wigan thing, got his speed up and then offloaded to someone standing still. Turns out he didn't.

Seems like Tim Smith can do nothing right with some people - his range of passing today offered Wigan a different dimension in attack actually guiding players through gaps (I'd forgotten what that was like since Barrett left) and his kicking game wasn't half bad either.

If he can repeat the performance against a better side and leave the turnstile defence at home then I will be more than happy.

15th October 1989 - the beginning of a love affair.

Wigan RLFC for life.
