WIGAN FOREVER wrote:Nice read that, and as someone who slated the club last year when the promised players didn't turn up at a kids traning camp it is good that these things are now happening and being recognised.
As I said in another thread, I was on the same flight back as the players on Tuesday morning and every single player was more than happy to sign autographs and pose for photos with my son and other kids. It went some way to overcoming his disappointment at the on field performance.

i was on that flight too and Gleeson actually apologised to my mate for coming out and watching us lose, my mate told him to not be daft (don't know if he'd have said the same if it was pryce but never mind) but just shows their not as clueless as some think.

these lads are normal humans who feel disapointment and don't lose on purpose and they too like to see kids coming to games and like to help and promote the game when they can just like we do. They all looked knackered and gutted on the plane, just as we did. Glad something good came out the of it all.

Stevo on a Craig Smith intersept, "that was like throwing tomato seeds out of a moving train window and coming back a year later and tomatoes have grown!"

Eddies reaction, "I don't know what he's been taking but i wants some"

Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, says he has failed to be gripped by England's rugby union World Cup bid.
"I've not seen it," said the England striker. "I've been watching the rugby league."

Always nice to hear about our players doing something like this. I'd prefer having a team full of *not that word please* at the top of the league though :)

Does it matter ?? Really ?? You get a post like that and you pick up on spelling !!

If syphilis was good enough for Al Capone, Scott Joplin and Toulouse-Lautrec, it is good enough for Dave Whelan.
